The only pic that I still like from 1999...

Godzilla is by far my oldest obcession, shame I had never been that great at properly drawing him. I had a less of a difficult time drawing the newer version once the animated series was released, but I still was only able to pull of this single pose that I got from the trading cards that came from my Trendmasters series of toys.

I need to do some new stuff.....it's nagging at me more than ever lately

LOL I know how you feel.. my folks used to take me to see Godzilla movies at the drive in..aside from Star Wars..my first memory of the movies was The Terror of Mechagodzilla. Some good times. Sigh.

The old one ALWAYS RULES! That newest one looked so much like shit when I first so him. At least the old one looked adorable. Plus, rubber suit men rules.

It's the only reason I don't draw alot of Godzilla(despite I am a huge fan of kaiju films), that he's so $%&#ing difficult to get right on paper. I have tons of references, most best, the dark horse comic books of him. But for some reason, I cannot hack him. I can see you have a difficult time with him as well, but yeah, GINO is definitely alot easier to draw.
